Grandpa Al, a butcher, already owned a corner house. His idea was to build a two unit apartment building over and behind the garage.

He took his idea to many builders it could not be done.

So Al studied up, drew rough sketches, and sought out builders one again.

Finally, he succeeded, and built a two story apartment building in his backyard. Both stories have two bedroom apartments.

Al died quite young, and the income from these units he built, provided for his widow the rest of her life.

The house and apartments currently provide for his youngest daughter.

The lessons learned from his real estate sense plans in this and other projects, were the inspiration for his eldest daughter and her husband, to amass numerous properties, residential and commercial.
